Banishing Feast And Famine Cycles in Business

Why setting yourself Up to receive consistently is so important in business

One of the biggest challenges many business owners face is the cycle of feast and famine. One month, you're attracting so much work & clients, and the next, you're scrambling to find your next opportunity. But it doesn’t have to be this way. With the right strategies, aligned with your Human Design — you can create consistency in your business so you can enjoy steady returns and a predictable client flow.

Here’s my number one tip for each energy type (because yes, my advice will always depend on your Human Design. I don't believe in one-size-fits-all cookie-cutter approaches):

PROJECTORS:

1. Establish Yourself in the Market as an Expert in Your Field: When you first begin your business, you are working to create reputation in your industry as a guide and leader in your expertise (because that is your gift and what you are here for). From there, you build trust in your expertise, an engaged community and are positioned as a go-to authority. The invites flow and you will attract consistent and ideal clients. To do this, you need to be so clear and dialed in to what you offer, the knowledge & expertise you have and how you can help people transform. Once that reputation has been created, it does all the work for you – you don't have to show up constantly on instagram, you don't have to undercharge or overgive to clients – you are in demand and will feel deeply seen, recognised and successful.

How to do it: Start sharing your unique insights in your own words in blogs, podcasts, videos, social media (we prefer long form content) where you showcase your knowledge. Give client testimonials and case studies to highlight your credibility of delivering high-quality results and value. You have to allow yourself to be seen and take up space, don't let imposter syndrome stop you from sharing your gifts and perspectives. I teach you how to create your reputation and receive recognition in your chosen field during Create Space.

GENERATORS:

1. Simplify your offerings, nail the energy behind your messaging and create recurring revenue streams:  Generators thrive when they focus on mastering one or a few areas, rather than scattering energy across too many directions. Your energy is what sells and draws your aligned clientele so you need to LOVE your offering and feel excited to show up for it. When people feel that energy behind your work, they can't help but be attracted to what you are offering. Strategize how you can gain more from your output – so offer packages and products that allow you to work with clients for a longer period of time. Not only does this mean more revenue for you, but you can help them achieve even better results. Offering one-off 1:1 is great to gain experience, but it is making receiving consistently a lot more harder than they need to be.

How to do it: Simplify your business offerings. More is not better. Start with one clear, impactful offering that serves a very specific problem your niche is experiencing. Once that’s established, you can continue to develop and expand your offering. Remember it needs to be structured to create consistent revenue so you work smarter, not harder. Your energy does the talking!

MANIFESTING GENERATORS:

1. Be Visible and Share Your Energy: MGs are SO magnetic when they are authentically excited about what they do – it is infectious and contagious when we see you in your flow and passion. So show us the fun wild ride of your life and business. People are drawn to your vibrant energy. unique mix of skills and passions - be more YOU. Clients are less interested in a polished, “perfect” presentation and more drawn to your genuine enthusiasm and how you show up in the world. Stop trying to stay small, “cool” or palatable. Stop making sure everything is perfect and “done” – it honestly suppresses your energy and it falls lackluster. Let us see your humanness, speak how you speak, don't be in your head so much, let your energy FLOW. You will attract the people that are made for your energy. Then create systems and structures that help support your creative flow.

How to do it: Take your audience on a journey. Share the moments of inspiration, creation, and even challenges in your work. This transparency builds trust and connection. Speak to your audience’s desires and needs (don't try to talk to everyone). Frame your posts, videos, or blogs around what your ideal clients want and need. Use your voice to offer value—whether it’s inspiration, education, or transformation. Show up regularly, even if it’s in small doses. Your visibility keeps you top of mind for potential clients.

MANIFESTORS:

1. Create high impact, high value offers: Manifestors are not designed to grind out work continuously; their energy operates in powerful bursts, and rest is essential for maintaining alignment. High-impact, high-value offers let you focus your energy where it’s most effective, allowing you to work less while creating greater value and impact. These offers also position you as a leader and allow clients to see the significant transformation you provide. Build anticipation around your work. Manifestors have a natural ability to create excitement and momentum. Building anticipation taps into this strength, drawing attention to your work and encouraging clients to act. Manifestors shine when they generate curiosity and enthusiasm for what’s coming next.

How to do it: Focus on the biggest transformation or results you can deliver. Manifestors excel at initiating change, so design offers that create significant shifts for your clients. Create a high-value offering that is different to what others are doing and set your pricing according to the value and transformation you’re delivering. Tease your offerings, create energy and excitement around them – remember you are here to take up space and not shy away from the impact of your work. Don't be afraid to be proud of your offering and back it!

REFLECTORS:

1. Embrace Your Role as a Mirror and Leverage your Unique Perspectives: Reflectors are here to reflect the state of their environment and guide others toward alignment. Your ability to see what others often miss is your greatest asset. Position your services as a way for clients to gain clarity, alignment, or insight. Highlight your ability to help others reflect and refine their goals. You don't need a massive community to have success. Focus on quality over quantity. Reflectors thrive on meaningful connections rather than overwhelm of too many different people's energy. Working with clients who value your insights ensures consistent, fulfilling revenue. Then, master the art of client retention: Happy clients are not only repeat clients but also your biggest advocates.

How to do this: Focus your messaging on your ability to help clients gain clarity, identify blind spots, and align with their highest potential. Offer services like audits, strategy sessions, or reflective consultations. Nurture deep relationships with a smaller client base. Focus on long-term partnerships where your reflective insights can create lasting transformation. Implement strong follow-up systems and offer incentives for long-term commitments. Always ask for feedback and look for ways to enhance their experience.
