Where to start with your Human Design?

So you have generated your chart. And I know, it looks super overwhelming. But before you click the cross button because you have NO idea what it is showing. Take a look at your energy type. This is the most important part of your design and how you are meant to use your energy for more flow and success in your life. EVERYTHING is energy so when you know how to dance through life, that’s when you magnetise the people and opportunities that are right for you. We are all so different so when you tap into your natural way, things just work out. When I discovered I was a Projector, everything made sense! I understood why things weren’t working out for me, and it was because I was living in a way that wasn’t right for me.

There are 5 energy types: Manifestor, Generator, Manifesting Generator, Projector and MG.

MANIFESTOR

As a Manifestor, you’re here to make an impact & create change. You are an initiator – you get the ball rolling, start something, create movement, that others can join in on or follow you on. The key is to unapologetically follow your urges & resist the pressure to dim your shine. You are here to embrace your bigness & impactfulness by doing exactly what you want. When you go off & do your own thing, you shift worlds & your people will want to follow & partake.

Release any need to explain, apologise, people please or seek permission for what you are doing – just do you. If you want something or feeling called to create a new thing, just go for it. Don't try to understand or make sense of it at first - people don't usually understand innovation until after someone has gone & done it. Your urge to do something is enough of a reason. You need freedom to create - the worst feeling is to be micromanaged or constricted. Rest is important as your energy works in spurts - highs and lows.

Stop doing anything to be "liked" & instead just follow your calls to do something, and you will receive the most devoted support as a biproduct. When you feel the freedom & autonomy to create what you want, you will feel the peace, impact & success you desire. You’re here to create waves & imitate, not necessarily see things to the end. Your people will jump on board for the journey.

Energetic pattern: Spontaneous. Comes in powerful bursts followed by a much needed rest.

GENERATOR

As a Generator, you’re here to create what your gut is propelling you towards. If you want to live your purpose, do more things that excite you & light you up. Your gut will viscerally pull you into the direction you are supposed to go. It defies logic or rational thinking. Your gut speaks in absolutes - if it's not a "hell yes" then it has to be a "no". Be ruthless to follow only what invigorates you & trust your wants are your compass.

Whatever you love to do are the very portals to your dream life. You just need to release any guilt or shame of being “selfish” for following your desires. It’s actually the opposite because you make others around you more energised, excited & inspired when your generating this good energy.

When you follow your gut & do what’s exciting, people want to be around you! So allow your gut response to guide you to a life of satisfaction & success. Start experimenting & responding to the world around you. Pursue your wants because they are directing you towards what you're meant to do & have. Youre here to redefine what work looks like - combining work with pleasure.

Not-Self theme: Frustration

Energetic pattern: Life force energy - created when doing things that light them up. If doing something that is draining, will feel burnt out and uninspired. Energy is designed to be used up throughout the day and restored each night with quality sleep.

MANIFESTING GENERATOR

As a Manifesting Generator, you are meant to follow your many passions. These aren’t random – your gut is giving you a “hell yes!” to many things for a reason. You move quicker than the rest of the world, so don’t wait around for us to catch up. You are quick to pick things up, master them & drop them when you are no longer interested. Your gut will propel you into many different directions – try not to intellectualise these pulls - just follow them. It may not make sense now but in hindsight it will.

Release the pressure to choose one thing, you are meant to do all the things. Your desires & passions are signposts. The Universe is showing you where to put your attention & energy into. Following what “lights you  up” is the highest service to you & everyone else.

When you do what you love, your energy quadruples and ripples out to uplift & inspire others. When something drains or bores you, its time to pivot as it’s wasting your life force energy & a sign that you’re not meant to be doing that thing. Give yourself permission to have the biggest, most full life because that’s what you are here to show us.

Energetic pattern: Moves quickly and very dynamic. Creates endless energy when doing something that love and is exciting. Designed to be worn out be end of day and rejuvenated with quality sleep.

PROJECTOR

As a Projector, you are a natural guide. You have the gift of seeing things that others don’t. You see deeply into another & also into systems – seeing what works, what doesn’t work & how it could be improved. You are the advice giver, deep conversationalist and everyone’s life coach.

You are meant to follow what interests you & could talk about all day long – those areas are where you are designed to apply your innate gifts. These curiosities & natural abilities to “see” were given for you to harness - follow them. See value in them & don't sell yourself short by overworking & trying to prove how much you can "do".

Your success & dream life happens when you are focusing your energy on what is interesting to you and giving advice, guiding or improving the way we live & work. When you release the need to constantly be productive & accept you work differently, you will do things in a way that feels more efficient, easy & effortless. Your job is to make yourself seen & available so the right people can find you. Don't waste your breath on those who don't recognise your unique perspective. Trust that whatever your natural gifts are & what you “see” easily are your tickets to the success you desire.

Not-Self theme: Bitterness

Energetic pattern: Deeply penetrating with a reliable ability to see clearly into the souls of others and patterning of life itself. Needs to take time to rest and recharge in order to be best version of self and have these special skills.

REFLECTOR

As a Reflector, you’re very open and receptive to the outside world. You are here to put us back in touch with the Universe & the Divine. When you are in your design, life will reflect back to you moments of joy & surprise. Allow yourself to be a chameleon & your interests to change. You have the ability to be anyone or anything at any time.

You are here to be flexible & adaptable, trying things on for size & seeing if you like it. Allow your path to shift & change as you do. When you follow what feels good to you – being in the right environment & around the right people – the right opportunities come to you. If something doesn’t feel good, it’s a sign to remove it from your life. This feeling is not random – the Universe is showing you where to change to align with your dream life.

Commit to yourself that you will leave spaces that don’t feel good & follow your call to environments that support a life of effortless success, happiness & surprise. This is where you will experience all the synchronicities & opportunities the Universe wants you to have.

What even is Human Design?

Good question!

Human design is a coming home to yourself. It’s not a “becoming” something else, but an unbecoming of everything you thought you “should” be. Everything others, society or your inner critic tells you that you need to be. It is your permission slip to return to your true essence and who you came here to be. Your human design chart is a massive treasure chest of yourself - all your tapped in and not yet tapped in potential. It’s everything we feel but don’t know how to articulate. When I discovered Human Design, I felt equally seen and also confronted - it was everything I was feeling but was also showed me how I living opposite to what my body truly craved.

Technically, Human Design is a logical system that brings together principles of The I Ching, astrology, Kabbalah, Hindu-Brahmin chakra system, and quantum physics. It’s the deep breath to confirm that all your answers are within you, and you DO know where you should go. It quietens the inner critic or hamster wheel mind that can leave you feeling crazy and indecisive. Human design shows you where and how to access your own body’s decision making tool. It offers a manual of you as a unique human and guides you to live in a manner that is in sync with who you are. When you live in alignment, things just flow - you are a magnet for the right people and opportunities.
